Goal: To advance the mechanistic understanding of human memory. We test key circuit-based hypotheses by recording single-neurons from the medial temporal lobe and frontal areas in humans who are forming, declaring, and describing their memories.

Study population and setting:
- Participants are epilepsy patients undergoing invasive monitoring with depth electrodes for evaluation for potential resective surgery.
- Recording systems used are Neuralynx Inc. ATLAS and Blackrock Inc. Neuroport.
Data generated:
- Single-neuron recordings, local field potentials, eye tracking data, and behavior. Data management and exchange utilizes the Neurodata Without Borders format. We use the DANDI archive for the release of datasets.
