New Grantee Presentation: Image Driven Multi-Scale Modeling to Predict Treatment Response in Cancer Patients

Image Driven Multi-Scale Modeling to Predict Treatment Response in Cancer Patients

The ability to identify—early in the course of therapy—cancer patients that are not responding to a particular regimen would provide the opportunity to switch to a potentially more efficacious treatment, eliminate unnecessary side effects, and transform current practice. Unfortunately, existing methods of determining early response are inadequate.  The vision for our program is to employ quantitative MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and PET (positron emission tomography) data to initialize and constrain tumor-forecasting models for predicting the response of individual cancer patients.  In this webinar, we will present preliminary results on this program in both the pre-clinical and clinical settings.
